I found this nice tutorial/anatomy advice spread created by meghanhetrickof deviant art.

She gave me permission to post it up here to share so go make sure to visit her and look at her other creations of goodness!

I get what they’re doing here and I think it’s cool, but I mean it’s weird to be bee all “boobs come in all shapes and sizes!!” and then to shame people with implants whose boobs DO look more like all the “no” examples.

I do my best to draw diverse body types, and I very much support seeing more diversity in the way women are portrayed in art. But we can do that without shaming ladies whose bodies aren’t “natural”, because frankly they get enough shit anyway.

Seconding Royce’s commentary.

There is a problem, particularly within the mainstream comics industry, of drawing basically all women with massive, gravity defying breasts.

It is important for people to be able to draw a variety of bodies, it is important for there to be representation of different bodies.

But that’s no reason to shit on people that have breast implants.

If you’re drawing someone that has breast implants, draw them as they are. If you’re drawing someone that doesn’t have breast implants, draw them as they are.

All bodies are good bodies.

I think my point here is that there is a fine line between niche pornography and postmodernist art film, and I do not know where that line is.

psychopathy and/or sociopathy are not personality disorders or mood disorders.

they are not a part of the DSM that is currently used by the American Psychological Association. The DSM has Antisocial Personality Disorder, which is diagnosed based on behavioral patterns.

psychopathy/sociopathy are based on behavioral patterns and personality traits. the measures used to determine sociopathy are often criticized.

from what I’ve read of sociopathy and sociopaths, I wouldn’t go so far to say that they’re incapable of love (quantifying the concept of love is a whole other mess). One of the defining characteristics of sociopaths is their narcissistic “amorality” (morality being culturally based). What hurts the sociopath is bad and should be gotten rid of. What pleases the sociopath is good and should be preserved. If what is pleasing is a person, then they become an extension of the sociopath — what hurts the pleasing person is bad because it displeases the sociopath. this is a very utilitarian few of love and friendship, but it is one used a lot in scientific/psychological studies/literature.
